Norman Reedus’ character in Death Stranding is Sam, but we don’t know who the female character is.
As expected, the Sony E3 2018 press conference featured some gameplay from Death Stranding, the upcoming PlayStation exclusive from Hideo Kojima. The trailer lasted several minutes and revealed that Sam (Norman Reedus), part of Corpse Disposal Team 6, was a delivery man of sorts. Perhaps more intriguing, though, was the introduction of a female character. We didn’t get her name, but she did ask Sam if he knew who she was.
This trailer was the most in-depth look at Death Stranding that we’ve had so far, and featured Sam moving through an open area with a baby strapped to his body seemingly powering a device that could detect the enemy threats, which are so far unnamed.
Following the E3 2018 Sony press conference a PlayStation Blog post written by Hideo Kojima was published, with an in-depth look at the way Death Stranding is coming together.
This game is being woven together through numerous strands and human connections, including strands with you: the fans. The picture that forms on this tapestry is already beautifully drawn in my mind, and is right now, being woven together with the utmost care. It is sure to form an image unlike any seen before. I hope that the strand with you will be a special one.
Unfortunately, there was no release date or release window for Death Stranding, which would lead me to believe it’s still a long time out. Fill out your gaming library with all the games we know are coming, detailed in the video game release dates 2018 guide we’ve composed.
